Dakota DC-3
|
Description: To meet the increasing
demands of American Airlines,
the DC-3 was introduced as a further development of theDC-2 at the
beginning of 1935. She was
the first airliner to operate, cost-effectively, as a pure passenger mover. A new design coupled with low operating costs led to the fact
that by 1939, 75% of all American passengers were transported with the
DC-3. |
