The Albatros L-39 entered service in the mid-1970s as a standard trainer for the Warsaw Pact air forces.  The good-natured flight characteristics and the towed landing gear predestine the Albatros to be the ideal entry-level and scale model for the ambitious pilot. The elegant lines and the variety of original paint schemes make the L-39 an extremely popular model type.
