In 1935 the Slingsby Kirby Kite was developed in England. The gull wing was chosen as a distinctive feature, which at the time was considered "very fashionable" and had noticeably better circular flight characteristics than straight wings. We have selected the Type 23 for our model, a variant with an additional wheel as a landing aid and an aerodynamically optimized fuselage-wing transition.

The implementation of the gull wing and the transparent covering in the full GRP construction was a special challenge for us, which, as reactions have shown, we have fully met. The Kirby Kite impresses with its very good flight performance in thermals and its majestic flight image with the translucent, transparent wings and tail unit parts. You must have seen this model in the evening sun!
