Special thanks to the tow pilots Alexander Obolonsky and Dennis Gra from FMC Rdermark for their tireless towing efforts on both days.
Alexander alone performed over 150 glider tows with his MOKI 250-equipped model - an impressive feat. There were many of our gliders in action. Our ASW 15 was there in all 3 sizes with 5 m, 6 m and 6.8 m wingspan, as well as the 6 m ASH26 and the 6 m Libelle.
A great event with nice flying colleagues in an impressive, historical environment - the home mountain of German gliding.

    Jets over Norway 2016

For now the 7th time the biggest Scandinavian Flight Event "Jets over Norway" took place in early June. Perfect flying weather conditions with - for this time of the year unusual 22 -25 degrees- summer welcomed us on the fantastic airfield in Fyresdal. 65 pilots with over 100 jets had joined in the four days of the event. Because of the brief nocturnal darkness flying started early in the morning at 8am and ended late evening at 11pm - more than 1,600 liters of kerosene have been converted into flying fun. As an highlight this year Robert and Sebastian Fuchs and Tim Stadler with their 3 AIRWORLD F 104 "Starfighters" and their Red Bull Ultimates presented their perfect formation program first time to the public - actively supported by their announcer Bernd Kneidl.
Many thanks to our Norwegian friends for the warm welcome, the relaxed atmosphere at the airfield and in the short remaining night hours. Special thanks to Trond Hammerstad who oversees as chief organizer this event with impressive power and energy. Thanks to his initiative even national TV with an OB van and lots of cameras transferred one hour LIVE from the airfield.
For all of us it was a unique experience - again :)
We look forward to 2017 - when the slogan is again: Start your engines and fly like hell!
    Dieter and Tommy

    Jets of Norway 2015

In the first week of June it was time again:
This great event has already taken place for the sixth time - this time with a new record attendance! There were over 60 pilots with more than a hundred models at the start. To our particular delight, Roy and Uwe Puchtinger traveled to Norway for the first time this year with their beautiful AIRWORLD Me 262. Our friends Ali Machinchy and Simon Taylor came to Fyresdal from England. One of the highlights was definitely our new F-104 in a special Italian paint, perfectly built and painted by Trond Hammerstad for this event! Both versions - with and without tip tanks - could more than convince the audience !!The pictures below say more than a thousand words.
We look forward to Jets of Norway 2016!
    Dieter and Tommy

    Jets of Norway 2014

In the first week of June it was time again:
This great event has already taken place for the fifth time - this time with an absolute record attendance! There were over 60 pilots with more than a hundred models at the start. Much to our delight, Ali Machinchy traveled with his colleague Simon Taylor from England again this year.
Our new F-104 received a lot of attention this time. Trond Hammerstad had set up the Starfighter for the event and, like everyone else, was curious about the flight characteristics and the performance of the model. The pictures below say more than a thousand words.
Many thanks to Christian for the great barbeque and Lars for the excellent flight shots. You can also find more pictures in the Norwegian Jetforum.
We look forward to Jets of Norway 2015!
    Dieter and Tommy

    Nikolausmarkt 2014

    Schee woars !!!
With a Bavarian breakfast (Weißwurscht, Breezen & Weissbier - naturally non-alcoholic), this year's Nikolausmarkt started at 9 a.m., followed by Christmas stollen, cookies and chocolate Santa Clauses.
During the day we were able to present some of our new products for 2015 to around 300 visitors - in addition to the 7.5m version of our full-fiberglass DG 600 and the new 7-cylinder MOKI 350 radial engine, our retrofittable on-board starter system for the MOKI 250, among other things, was of particular interest This was demonstrated several times by Tommy Gleissner on the test bench in the company and it worked perfectly!
It was a great atmosphere - thank you again to all visitors for the praise and the trust and approval of our models and engines.
We wish you all a nice pre-Christmas season, a Merry Christmas and are already looking forward to the 2015 flying season!

    Jet-DM 2013 in Mücke

Here are a few impressions from the Jet DM on the last weekend in June. Bad weather and rain on Friday and Saturday bothered both the models and the pilots. The finals took place on Sunday in beautiful weather. After three days of competition, Christian Lohwasser and Thomas Gleissner with their AIRWORLD MB 339 were able to achieve places 1 and 2 in the scale class ahead of Stephan Völker. The places 2 and 3 in the semiscale class were achieved by Bernd Rasch with the AIRWORLD Hawk and David Büsken with the AIRWORLD Cougar, victory here went to Thomas Naumann.
First place in the respective building ratings went to Thomas Gleissner and David Büsken.
    Congratulations to all participants

    Jets of Norway 2013

In the second week of June it was time again:
This great event took place for the fourth time - this time with an absolute record attendance! There were over 50 pilots with more than one hundred and twenty models at the start. Much to our delight, Ali Machinchy and his colleague Simon Taylor came from England to receive his new AIRWORLD F100 "Superschnitzel" from Trond Hammerstad and fly it in there. First of all - it worked out great - Ali was (and is) more than happy with his new dream jet! Thomas and Ali had their hands full helping their Norwegian colleagues to set up and "fine tune" their models - the two successfully carried out several first flights and gave the jet fans relaxed faces!
Thanks, as always, to Trond Hammerstad in particular! His energy and perseverance made it possible to build up and establish this great event - everyone present spontaneously promised their participation for 2014! We look forward to Jets of Norway 2014!
Pictures say more than words, so here are a few more impressions.
    Dieter and Tommy

3rd radial engine meeting in Untermünkheim 2013

    Hello radial engine friends!
After we had already experienced a great MFC Untermünkheim event in 2011, it was clear that we would visit the radial engine meeting in 2013 as well. Although the number of participants was a little smaller this time due to the weather, all pilots had a lot of fun demonstrating their model and engines.
As always well organized, we were able to experience an interesting weekend under the leadership of Elke and Andreas Heilemann and enjoy the incomparable engine sound of the radial engines.
Thanks again to all pilots and the MFC team for this great event !!
    See you next year!
Your AIRWORLD team Hans-Dieter and Armin.

    IGG meeting 2012

On January 4th the annual IGG meeting took place in Sprendlingen near Frankfurt (IGG stands for interest group tall sailplane). In the middle of winter, the IGG community met for a relaxed get-together and to talk shop about new projects and events for the coming season. After a delicious lunch, Bernd Straßburger and Günther Kiewel gave a review of the meetings they attended and the activities planned for 2012.
We were there to present our two new projects ASW 15 on a scale of 1: 2.2 and DG 600 on a scale of 1: 2 to the expert audience and to capture initial reactions. It was fun to see old friends of the scene again and meet new people!
Special thanks to Matthias Kerstan, Gerhard Birkl and Stefan Eyssen, who supported us with their cooperation in the scale expansion of the two hulls.

    Jets of Norway 2012

In the second week of June it was that time again: After the first two great events Jets of Norway in 2010 and 2011 (see reports below under News), Tommy and I were again at our Norwegian friends.
Once again, the event took place at the man-carrying airfield in Fyresdal in Telemark. With 35 pilots and 42 models, almost the entire Norwegian jet scene met again, only the B-gang from Bergen unfortunately canceled this year due to the bad weather forecast.
Fortunately, the weather developed a lot better and so on three days jet flying was announced from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. It was only on Friday evening and Saturday morning that rain showers came over and over again, but the Norwegian jet pilots are tough guys. Obviously the same applies here: There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing - and so the flight continued without any problems even in the pouring rain!
The flying level is extremely high - the guys here really have it. No wonder, because each of the pilots had at least 15 flights on it over the three days, the record was 29 flights (that's right - that's what the one who also flew in the rain!)
Our thanks go once again to our Norwegian jet friends for the nice and always lovable way of practicing this great hobby together! Our special thanks go to the organizer, Trond Hammerstad: He always manages in his inimitable way to motivate jet friends and organize a great event. Incidentally, he also manages to fly his models himself, but also uses the student-teacher system to convey a share of his joy in jet flying to colleagues.Thank you for great days in Norway.
Until Jetpower 2012 - there we meet our Norwegian friends again!
    Hans-Dieter & Tommy

    Gaugen 2012

Alpine flight testing of our new ASW 15 on Gaugen 2012.

    Horizon Airmeet 2012

A great event with the top pilots of the European model flight scene was celebrated by Jörg Schamuhn's Horizon team on August 18th and 19th. Here are a few impressions from the Airmeet 2012 in Donauwörth.
Many thanks from the AIRWORLD team especially to the MOKI pilots Andreas Gietz (P47), Franz Obenauf (P47 Razorback), Marc Hauss (Corsair) and Thomas Gleissner (Sea Fury), whose 250 MOKI engines provided the sound in their great warbirds. Franz Obenauf has installed a MOKI 400 in his large P47, which also harmonizes perfectly with this impressive model thanks to its engine sound.
The demonstrations by Otto Widlroither with his Gee Bee R3, which he was able to stage more than impressively with the MOKI 400, were also spectacular! Special mention should also be made of Thomas Gleißner for the "fastest" landing with his Gee Bee R3! Many a viewer caught their breath here!
Thanks also to Robert & Sebastian Fuchs from the Red Bull Team with their Aermacchis and Steven and Matt Bishop from the British Red Arrows Team with their BAe Hawks! Both teams showed perfect synchronous aerobatics with their AIRWORLD machines - it is always exciting what these pilots are able to do with their models!
Many thanks also to Stefan Wurm and Jürgen Gollnow (get well soon !!!), who organized and supervised this event. We are happy that we could be there!
    Hans-Dieter Reisert and Thomas Gleißner

    JetPower fair 2012

The JetPower trade fair in Bad Neuenahr had its 10th anniversary this year. As one of the few exhibitors who were there from the start, it was a very special honor for us to support Winfried Ohlgart and his JetPower team and to celebrate this anniversary appropriately with all pilots and spectators - it was just great !!
I would particularly like to thank the pilots who have put our AIRWORLD models in the limelight and, also through their demonstrations, have made this trade fair one of the most interesting and worth visiting events for jet models worldwide.
Many thanks to Robert and Sebastian Fuchs with their MB 339 in Red Bull Design, the RED's duo Steve and Matt Bishop from England with their Hawks, Trond Hammerstad from Norway with his English Electric Lightning and his inimitable smoke and fireworks show with the Hawk, Christian Lohwasser with his Hawk and Thomas Gleißner with the F-100, Albatros-L39 and our new product, the Skyrunner 300+.
A big thank you also to all customers for visiting our booth!
We look forward to seeing you at JetPower 2013!
    Hans-Dieter Reisert

Thank you for your visit - if you are not in the photos, don't be angry, we couldn't take photos of all of them. We wish you all a nice pre-Christmas season, a Merry Christmas and we are already looking forward to the 2013 flying season!

    Jets of Norway 2011

In the first week of June it was that time again:
After the great first Jets of Norway in 2010, Tommy and I visited our Norwegian friends again. This time the event took place at a man-carrying airfield in Fyresdal in Telemark. With 39 pilots and 56 models, almost the entire Norwegian jet scene met for a great event in perfect weather. More than 1000 liters of kerosene were flown out on four days from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.! Yes - that's how long it has been light here in early summer - accordingly the short nights were used extensively for relaxation.
We would like to thank all Norwegian jet friends, especially the B-gang, who had made the long way out of Bergen. Our special thanks go to the main organizer, Trond Hammerstad: He always manages in an inimitable way to motivate jet fans and organize a great event. Incidentally, he also manages to fly his own model, but also to convey to colleagues a share of his joy in jet flying through the student-teacher system.
Thank you for great days in Norway. Until Jetpower 2011 - there we meet our Norwegian friends again!

JET World Cup 2011 in Dayton

    Day 1:
We received the boxes with the models on Monday without any damage and we have already had the first training flights behind us. Yesterday the first ones were in the construction evaluation and in the next hour the flight evaluation should also start. The weather means well to us, we have around 35 ° C outside temperature and a lot of wind that changes direction every hour.
    Day 2:
We still have nice weather and have to sweat a lot every day at 35 ° C. We finished the construction appraisal last night and today only Roy and I have to fly. Then there are the first results of construction and 1st round. Gestures tomorrow when I got my plane out of the hangar, an important scale detail on my side oar had broken off. Through the field of participants, I ask myself whether someone has some material with them so that I can build a new pitot tube. When Vitaly Robertus from Team Russia arrived, he said to me Tommy don't worry me and my boys will quickly build a new one for you. It took about 2 hours and I had a new pitot tube in the finest design. You can see the result in the photos.
Many thanks to Vitaly and his team !!!
    Day 3:
Today we made it halfway through the second round. Heiko, Mark and Christian have already flown. Tomorrow Stephan will come first and in the afternoon Roy and me. Today we had difficult wind conditions so that flying was not easy for the boys. We should have finished the second round tomorrow evening.
    Day 4:
    Results from the 2nd run.
    Day 5:
We finished the second round except for the best five. The best five will be in the final tomorrow morning! First comes Roy, then me and Stefan. It will be interesting again because everything is still possible up to the 2nd place.
    Day 6:
We made it! The World Cup is over! We gave everything again in the final! Roy, Stefan and I did another flawless flight, now we have to wait until the award ceremony.
    => 4th place
    Greetings Tommy
